VOICE-OVER INTRO

Donatello

[Mouser busts through sewer wall] May not look like much, but this tin toy can chomp his way through steel and concrete like Michelangelo through a pizza.  A bunch of these mouser robots saw fit to trash our old lair and nearly turned our Sensei into Robo chow.  [Turtles running through sewers, hears woman scream.] I look at these incredible machines and the techno-geek in me can’t help thinking awesome.  [Turtles arrive just as Mousers about to chomp April.] But the ninja in me can’t help thinking payback.

{Opening sequence; title song}

The episode opens with Mikey stacking televisions atop one another. Pans up to Don dangling from rope high above living area as he welds a pipe.

Donatello

-------What’s the matter, Mikey?  Can’t decide what to watch?

Don lowers himself to ground.

Michelangelo

-------I need more power Captain.  The turtle cave must be set for maximum entertainment potential.  [Plugs in power cords, knocks out power topside.  TV Screens go bright and loud sound forces Mikey to turn them off.] Aww!

Master Splinter on couch sewing practice dummy.

Donatello

-------Turtle cave?  That is so lame.

Michelangelo

-------What would you call our new digs, the shell-ter?

Donatello

-------How about the sewer of solitude?

Michelangelo

-------Terrapin station?

Donatello

-------The school for gifted reptiles?

Michelangelo

-------The hall of nin-justice.

Splinter

-------[Looks up at sons and clears throat, then stands up.] We will call this place . . . home.

Michelangelo

-------Hmm . . . catchy.

Splinter

-------Now, what is keeping Leonardo and Raphael?

Michelangelo

-------They just went to get the last of our stuff from the old lair.

Donatello

-------And the way the new sewer slider is performing, they should be back any minute now. [Using screwdriver Mouser part and it shorts out on him.]

Cut to Leonardo and Raphael at the old lair.  Leo is loading TCRI canister into sewer slider.

Leonardo

-------Our home, for fifteen years – and this is all that’s left.

Raphael

-------When I find out who built those home wrecking robo roaches . . . . [Punches a support column, which crumbles at impact point.]

Leonardo

-------Raph, come on, let’s not trash this place any more than it already is.

They both climb into sewer slider, Leo atop packed belongings and Raph driving.  Begin to glide through sewers.

Leonardo

-------Now remember, Don said the accelerator hasn’t been calibrated yet, so take it nice and [Raph accelerates quickly] . . . ah~oh!

Raphael

-------Yee~ha!

Leonardo

-------Whoa! [Rocking back and forth, grabs onto surfboard at top of tied down pile.]

Raphael

-------I’d call this a successful field test wouldn’t you, Leo? [Accelerates again.]

Raph and Leo

-------Yee~ha!

Cut to new lair.  Don examining the head of a Mouser robot when Splinter walks up next to him.

Splinter

-------Even though it is inactive, that thing still makes me uneasy Donatello.

Donatello

-------This is state of the art robotics, Sensei.  Brilliant work.  I’ve just gotta know what makes it tick.

Splinter turns at the sound of the sewer slider.  It flies into lair, wheels come down, and it slowly lowers to the ground.  Leo leaps down.

Leonardo

-------Hey! Good news, Mikey.  Your DVD collection survived. [Spins box of DVD’s on one finger and tosses it to Mikey who catches it.]

Michelangelo

-------Awesome!  Let’s throw in something light on story and heavy on gory, ‘cause the video monolith is ready to rock and roll. [Turns on TV’s.]

TV News Anchor

-------In a press conference today, at Stocktronics Incorporated, New York’s leading new technology firm . . .

Michelangelo

-------Boring. [Pats mouth as though yawning.]

Donatello

-------Wait, I want to see this.

TV News Anchor

-------. . . Founder and CEO, Dr. Baxter Stockman was on hand to unveil his latest innovation. [TV show zooms in on Stocktronics lab.]

Baxter Stockman

-------A wise man once said, build a better mousetrap and the world will beat a path to your door.  I say, let the path beating begin for I, Dr. Baxter Stockman, have designed the solution to the city’s ever growing rat problem.  Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the ultimate expression of rodent termination technology – the Stocktronics Mouser.

All brothers

-------[Stockman unveils a Mouser.] Wa~oh.

Donatello

-------I can’t believe that the famous Baxter Stockman would try to pass off these killer robots as a good thing.

Michelangelo

-------And what’s up with those glasses.  Dork city.

Raphael

-------Ahh!  [Angrily punches out a TV screen with his sai.] I say we head over to Stocktronics and kick some serious shell. [Starts to leave lair and Splinter steps in front of him.]

Splinter

-------Absolutely not. [Pops Raph on the head with his walking stick.]

Raphael

-------Uh! [Grabs head.]

Splinter

-------Your last venture to the surface was a disaster.  You can ill afford to be seen by more humans. [View slides back to TV’s.]

Stockman

-------My lab assistant, Miss April O’Neill, will release several rats into the simulation chamber.  April, proceed my dear. [April pours out a box full of rats into a maze. Stockman places a Mouser into the maze.] Now observe the shear genius of my Mouser in action.

Mouser runs through maze, locates a rat. Rat turns to run from Mouser. Scene cuts back to Turtles who react with shock to sound of chomping.

Michelangelo

-------I’d sure hate to be a rat in this town. Huh. [Glances back at Splinter.] Oh.  Sorry, Sensei.

Stockman

-------[Back to TV] And the Mousers search and retrieval functions are all ingeniously controlled by a remote mother computer.

Cut to Stockman’s lab. April points at recording of their TV interview earlier.

April O’Neil

-------Oh, this is so great.  My friends, my family, will finally see I really do work with the Baxter Stockman.

Stockman

-------You flatter me Miss O’Neill, I like that.

April

-------Hmm, that’s strange. [April looks at her control panel.] I was running a routine diagnostic check.  Half the Mouser prototypes aren’t even transmitting.  It’s like they just vanished.

Stockman

-------I’m sure it’s nothing, April.  Probably just a computer glitch.  I’ll have a systems tech go over it in the morning.

April

-------But what if the Mousers have been tampered with?  [Typing on her keyboard.] We should go over all their transmission backups.

Stockman

-------[Stockman grabs her shoulder and leans in.] That won’t be necessary, April.  Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m expecting an important call from a very significant financial backer. [Walks into his office, closes the door behind him.]

Back at the lair, brothers surround Splinter, weapons drawn. Donatello spins bō and leaps at Splinter who dodges him. Don turns and swings at Splinter, who blocks with his stick and then hits Don on shell, making him stumble off balance.

Splinter

-------Do not lead with your shoulders, Donatello.

Leo jumps at Splinter, swords back. As he swings them down, Splinter bats him away with his stick.

Leonardo

-------Heeya ha! [Leo flies backwards, landing and sliding away on his shell.]  Uhh!

Splinter

-------Faster on your counterattack, Leonardo.

Mikey attacks, swings nunchuck at Splinter head. Splinter ducks and sweeps Mikey’s feet from under him.

Michelangelo

-------Ahh – ohh!

Splinter

-------Mind your footwork, Michelangelo.

Raphael

-------Aahhhh!

Raph charges Splinter, swinging sai at him. Splinter leaps over his head. Raph turns to attack, Splinter knocks first one and then the other sai from Raph’s hand. Splinter puts stick against Raph’s chest and forces him back against a pillar.

Splinter

-------You are distracted, Raphael.  You must learn to focus your attacks. [Releases Raph and walks away.

Raphael

-------I’d like to focus my attacks on that Stockman guy. [Runs to catch up to Splinter.] Why can’t we just go topside and show him a little mean and green?

Splinter

-------Because I forbid it.

Raphael

-------Ah~h!

Splinter

-------[Walks to his room.] We will resume your training in the morning. [Enters his room.]

Michelangelo

-------[Bends down and clasps hands together.] We will resume your training in the morning.

Splinter

-------I heard that.

Donatello

-------Busted!

Combined laughter.

Raphael

-------I’d like to bust a few heads.

Michelangelo

-------Chill bro.  We don’t need no stinking surface world.  [Leaps over back of couch and lands on it. Grabs remote.] We got late movies, top ten video countdown, bmx bird highlights, some really weird Korean language soap opera . . . .

Donatello

-------[Walks over to his work table and put his goggles on.] Or, you could give me a hand with these Mouser parts. [Fires up his torch.]  If I can get one working, we can trace it back to its source and find out what Stockman’s really using them for.

Raphael

-------[Yawns.] Nah, I’m beat.  I’m gonna rack.

Leonardo

-------[Talking to self.] Since when does Raph turn in so early?

Cut to Stockman’s lab, pans into his office where Stockman is at his desk.

Stockman

-------The Mousers will be ready when I decide they’re ready.  Our first field test was . . . .

Shredder

-------[On video monitor.] Was a complete failure.  I do not tolerate failure.

Stockman

-------Which is why you’d make a lousy scientist.  The test was supposed to expose any possible design flaws.  As a result, I’ve already upgraded the Mousers for greater durability.  [Shows April listening outside the door.] And I assure you, they will perform flawlessly for the next phase of the plan.

Shredder

-------They had better, Dr. Stockman.  For your sake.

Back at the lair.  Mikey asleep on couch, snoring.  A figure jumps down to the ground floor and sprints from the lair into the tunnels. It’s Raph, who stops short when he encounters Leo blocking his path.

Leonardo

-------Midnight stroll?

Raphael

-------Out of my way, Leo.

Leonardo

-------Master Splinter said we stay put.

Raphael

-------[Get into fighting stance.] Look, I’ll go through you if I have to.

Leonardo

-------[Matches his stance.] I’d like to see you try, hothead.

Raphael

-------Careful what you wish for, Splinter Junior.  Haa-yaa! [Leaps at Leo.]

They wrestle around on the ground. Mouser runs past them, followed by Don and Mikey.

Donatello

-------Hey guys, I got one working!

Michelangelo

-------Come on, he’s faster than he looks!

Raphael

-------So, you just gonna let that Mouser roam free?

Leonardo

-------Master Splinter is so going to kill us.  [Leo gets off Raph to follow his brothers. Stops to look back at Raph.] Well, you coming or what?

Raphael

-------If you insist. [Jumps up and runs after Leo.]

Cut to Stockman’s lab, where April is typing away at her workstation.

Stockman

-------Good night April dear.  Try not to work too late.  You know I don’t like to pay overtime.

April

-------Good night Dr. Stockman. [Waits until Stockman leaves and runs to his office. Sits down at his desk and accesses his control panel.]

April

-------Now, let’s find out what kind of plan you’ve been cooking up with those Mousers Dr. Stockman. [Keyboard clicking. Foot symbol flashes on screen.]  I’ve never seen that icon before. [Clicks on icon.]  What in . . . ? [Secret door opens.]

Back to the tunnels, Mouser comes out of large pipe and runs across smaller one, followed by the Turtles. Enter large spillway with water coming out of multiple pipes.

Leonardo

-------Watch your step here guys.  Don’t want to end up as turtle soup.

Donatello

-------[Mouser clamps on the wall with feet and starts walking up.] Resourceful little critter.

Raphael

-------So what do we do now?

Leonardo

-------Like Master Splinter says, a ninja is always prepared. [Pulls shuko spikes from belt and places them on hands. Brothers follow suit.]

Michelangelo

-------I thought that was the boy scouts.

Cut back to April as she enters the secret elevator. Presses a button and elevator descends quickly, surprising April.  Back to the Turtles, who are climbing the walls behind the Mouser.

Michelangelo

-----Next time let’s leave the wall crawling to the dude in the blue and red tights.

Leonardo

-------You read way too many comic books.

Mouser reaches another pipe and climbs inside. Turtles follow. They start running through another tunnel.

Michelangelo

-------Just curious, Don.  What’s to stop old turbo jaws from munching up another six point two on the Richter scale?

Donatello

-------I shut down his jaw servos.  It couldn’t even chew through a stick of gum.

Raphael

-------[Mouser stops and chomps through pipes.] You were saying?

Donatello

-------But I . . . I’m sure I shut it down.

Michelangelo

-------Aww, Don’s finally lost his techno mojo.  It’s sad really.

Donatello

-------It must have some kind of security override routine.  Come on.

They start to follow the Mouser when Don slides to a stop.

Donatello

-------Oh no.

Leonardo

-------What is it, Don?

Donatello

-------If I’m not mistaken, that’s a serious water main hanging right over our heads.

Raphael

-------So?

Donatello

-------So, our little Mouser friend just ate through the pipe’s support.

Leonardo

-------[Large pipe overhead groans and cracks.] Incoming!

Pipe opens, flooding the tunnel and washing the Turtles off their feet. They slide out through pipe into spillway. Don pulls bō and uses it to catch himself on a small pipe.

Donatello

-------Grab on! [Leo catches onto his ankles, Raph catches Leo’s and Mikey catches Raph’s. They are swinging above a swirling whirlpool.]

Raphael

-------Ow!  Watch where you point those shuko spikes, Mike.

Michelangelo

-------[Mikey starts swinging back and forth.] Aw, keep your shell on, Raph.  I got an idea.

Leonardo

-------Mike wait!  What are you . . . ?

Mikey releases Raph and flies through waterfall, followed by his brothers. They land against wall and cling to it.

Donatello

-------Guys, you okay?

Raphael

-------[Spits out water.] Peachy.

Cuts to Stocktronics, April still in elevator. It comes to a stop.

April

-------Finally. [Door opens and she discovers huge automated factory manufacturing Mousers.]  I don't care how bad the city's rodent problem is, this is serious overkill.  [Walks farther along and passes a security sensor.]

Back to the Turtles.  Sound of water running water and Turtles jump down into tunnel. Remove shuko spikes.

Raphael

-------When I get my hands on that metal menace, I’m gonna grind him into little bot burgers.

Donatello

-------Easy, Raph.  We still gotta keep him in one piece.

Michelangelo

-------What makes you think we’ll even find the little blender butt?

Leonardo

-------I think he left us a few clues. [Pans to hole in the wall.]

Cut to Stockman’s lab. April at control panel, typing.

April

-------Rat problem my eye.  What are you really up to Stockman?

Stockman

-------Now, now Miss O’Neill.  [April looks up as Stockman enters room. April stands and backs away.] That would be telling.  Suffice it to say that my army of Mousers will make me a very rich and powerful man.

April

-------But, aren’t you already a very rich and powerful man? [Window slides down behind her, but she doesn’t notice.]

Stockman

-------Ah, Miss O’Neill, so brilliant yet so naïve.  I will truly miss working with you.

April

-------What?  You mean I’m fired?

Stockman

-------In a . . . manner of speaking. [He presses button on remote he’s holding behind his back.]

Mechanical arm comes through opening behind her and grabs April. She screams and struggles as it lifts her out into factor and over conveyor belt, dropping her onto it.

Stockman

-------I’m afraid I can’t let you live, Miss O’Neill.  You’ve seen far too much already and well, let’s just say I have trust issues. [Types command into keyboard. Mousers surround April.]

Back to the Turtles. They exit through hole and enter subway tunnel. They look around and Don spots the Mouser.

Donatello

-------There!

They run towards the tracks, with Raph out in front. Leo suddenly grabs Raph by the shoulder and yanks him back.

Leonardo

-------Look out!

Train shoots past them. When it’s gone, so is the Mouser.

Michelangelo

-------Whoa, robo Houdini!

Leonardo

-------[Spots Mouser holding onto back rail of a train.] Wrong, robo hitchhiker.

Michelangelo

-------We’ll never catch him now.

Raphael

-------Two can play that game. [Watches as train approaches and then leaps on top of it.]

Leonardo

-------What a maniac!

Donatello

-------Yeah.  Wait for us!

They run and jump onto the train. Mouser leaps off train.

Raphael

-------[Sees Mouser.] There’s our stop! [Brothers jump from train.]

Cut to Stocktronics. April grabs fire extinguisher.

April

-------Keep back, I know how to use this.

Sprays one of the Mousers. When that doesn’t stop it, she smashes the Mouser’s head in with the canister.

April

-------Ha! [Dozens of Mousers run at her. April swings canister at one and it catches canister in mouth, bursting it open. April runs.]

Stockman

-------You can run Miss O’Neill, but you cannot hide from my Mousers.

April pulls control lever and door opens into sewers. April jumps into water and starts running. Reaches an area of intersecting tunnels.

April

-------Which way out?  Which way out? [Chooses tunnel and begins running again. Sounds of Mousers and dozens appear on April’s track.]

Back to Turtles following Mouser. Another suddenly appears.

Michelangelo

-------Whoa.  Who invited him?

Raphael

-------I got it. [Raph throws shuriken and it slices Mouser’s head open. Raph and Mikey high three but then Mouser stands back up.]

Leonardo

-------This is not good guys.

Donatello

-------Neither is that. [Points out a bunch of Mousers marching towards them.] These chrome domes are a lot tougher than the last batch.

Raphael

-------Yeah, and there’s a lot more of them too. [Turtles surrounded by a hoard of Mousers.] Great, just great.

Turtles go into action, destroying Mousers as fast as they can.

Donatello

-------These Mousers are incredible!  The servo mechanics, the circuitry, the articulation!

Raphael

-------Gee Donny, why don’t you just marry one already.

Leonardo

-------Guys, the only way to stop them is to slice their heads off.

Michelangelo

-------Well ain’t that great news . . . for the turtles with the blades.

Raphael

-------Drive ‘em this way, we’ll slice and dice.

Turtles come together at the top of a staircase and continue fighting Mousers. Soon there are piles of destroyed Mousers lying all around them.

Donatello

-------Great job guys.  Just make sure we leave one . . . .

Raph leaps atop the last one, driving his sai through its head and crushing it.

Raphael

-------[Stomps on the head.] Hah, hah, hah!

Donatello

-------. . . intact.

Leonardo

-------So much for tracing them back to the source.

Cut to April as she continues to run through the sewers. She’s looking back and Mousers appear in front of her. She turn around and runs back the way she came, but is cut off by more Mousers. Enters a new tunnel, runs and then trips and falls, crawling backwards to a dead end. Tries to pull board off blocked opening but it won’t come loose. She closes her eyes and screams as Mouser leaps, but then a bō smashes into it. Soon all Mousers destroyed and April looks to see who saved her.

April

-------Oh, oh thank you.  Thank you so much.  You saved my . . . my . . . .

Michelangelo

-------[Mikey leans out of heavy shadows.] Hey!  How ya’ doing?

When she sees Mikey, April faints. Mikey reaches down and picks her up, turning back to his brothers.

Michelangelo

-------Hey, so . . . can I keep her?
