I fell in love with the idea that Raphael became the new Shredder. It was done so well. But in the end it destroyed very stupidly. I don`t think that the Foot clan was such traitors and bad guys. For me they looked quite faithful to Raph, when they helped him save his brothers from the aliens and risked their own lives. It was he who betrayed them when ordered to attack those Japanese bosses. The Japanese Foot clan would have killed them all.
